It traces the life of Miep Gies, the one who hid Anne Frank's family in Amsterdam, before she was deported.

A Small Lights, "this glimmer of hope" if we translate, is first of all this little window in the hiding place, this link between the outside world and the Frank family, sheltered for two years. But it is also the hope that Miep Gies, an employee of Otto Frank, must keep. The young woman did not hesitate for a second to hide her boss and her family. A very dangerous decision.

A new light on this history

Actress Amira Casar plays Anne Frank's mother, Edith Frank. "It was very emotional, especially when we shot in Amsterdam. It was very beautiful. There were Otto Frank's private letters. I learned a lot from the report from Anne's point of view," says the actress.
